Hello
I have an AxDSL connection. The way this is set up is the company takes my
network adaptor address (12-digit, hex) and binds that to a specific IP
address. I want to connect a second computer, laptop, to the internet via
this AxDSL connection. They have told me that I need to purchase an
additional account for a monthly fee and they will provide a second IP.
The laptop has a network card. How can I network both computers to the
AxDSL using the one with an IP as a gateway. Is this possible? If so what
kind of HUB is reccomended? Do I need one with an uplink? Both systems run
Linux and Win98. SHould I use a third system as a dedicated gateway and
connect the others to that, and then that to the AxDSL? Any help would be
appreciated.
