And don't forget, 2000 is a leap year which only comes around every 400
years. So even if you get past 1 January, you still need to get past 29
February before you're 'safely' home ;-)

Anyone for resurrecting the 'domino' theory? Larry Ellison has been
predicting massive collapse of the Internet - 1/1/2000 sounds like a
good time to test it out.

In any case, we'll ALL be sick to death of hearing about Y2K in all it's
premutations - real soon now!
