try to reinstall lilo with the liner option
boot with the boot disk
choose boot installed system
run yast look for boot configuration
add the liner option there
that may or may not work YMMV ;-)
worked for me in several situations
nest woud be to try changing the location either mbr or first bootabe section
of harddisk
try the liner option first
