I am having a problem with recompiling the kernel. I am using a stock
install of SuSE 5.3. I am trying to get apm, sound, pcmcia, networking ,
etc. After a succesfull compile and make modules (everything that can be
a module, is a module) I run lilo. Lilo complaines that the kernel is
too big. I have compiled both zImage, and bzImages. I am sure missing
something! What I dont know....
If anyone has a quess, I would appreciate it.
Thank You
Carson
P.S. Yes I know that leaving some stuff out would make the kernel
smaller, but this is all stuff that is really needed on a laptop. I hate
to think that Microsoft can actually do all this and my beloved linux
box can not. NO WAY!!!!!
