What do you guys mean by duplex ?? Why the swich as oposed to the hub ?

I have a 4 port hub , with two machines set up now , as soon as I get
theese "talking" I will reconect the 466 with a 10 MB card . I assume thAt
any of the 100 mg machines will only beable to talk at 10 mg to this one
machine ? right ? It wont put the whole network back down to 10 megabit
right ??
