You can use kppp with WM as long as the base kde files are
installed.
I recommend that everyone attempting a dialup ppp connection look
closely at WvDial. About the only place it won't work is Compuserve,
and AOL is close to impossible.
WvDial virtually automates the process from probing your modem,
configuring init strings best suited for what it's found, and all
you have to do is enter your ISP phone number, your username and
your password. WvDial works in KDE, WM, and is superb in the window
manager I'm using: UDE (the Unix Desktop Environment.)
WvDial's URL: <A HREF="http://www.worldvisions.ca/wvdial/"><A HREF="http://www.worldvisions.ca/wvdial/</A">http://www.worldvisions.ca/wvdial/</A</A>>
UDE is at: <A HREF="http://www.ude.org"><A HREF="http://www.ude.org</A">http://www.ude.org</A</A>>
