Normaly, I would say no. But the setup failed before I have done this. I
think there were two files with the same name in both folders,
Office50/lib/ and i486-linux-libc6/lib/ . So the newer library-loader
can´t handle the older library in the i486-folder. Maybe I don´t need
the other folder anymore.

But why don´t you set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH in /etc/profile for all users
or in ~/.profile for one user?
