No.
Type 'make' and then 'make install'

Like this:

$ make

< compiling begins and you see the data flow >

$ make install

< installation takes place >

After this, you need to let wvdial query your modem. Here you run as
su or root:

$ wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

After this, go and edit /etc/wvdial.conf per the instructions: ISP
telephone, username, password

/wvdial-1.00 is where you need to be in order to make and make install.
