I just installed SuSE 5.2 on a 486 for the 4th time trying
to solve a problem.
xterm won't start! rxvt starts. xterm says:

can't handle reloc type <NULL> 'applicationShellWidgetClass'

Now, this is an old HP vectra with a 63MHz Pentium Overdrive
(whooweee!)
SuSE installed and worked wonderfully when it had it's
original 171MB HD.
I deemed it too small, ripped it out (only 1 drive will
fit!) and replaced 
it with a 6 GB Seagate SCSI HD hanging on an Advansys 5410
adapter (only ISA SCSI
adapter I could find...). Yes I'm insane. Nonetheless, now
the box won't work.

Other apps have problems too. 
susewmif reports "can't execute binary" for xosview and some
others.
