I'd appreciate any advice on best way to do this and equipment to purchase.

I will shortly have an ISDN connection and router (courtesy of employer).
This will mean I can hopefully stop using my modem and get a LAN card (which
one?). I will shortly also have an iMac (sucker for new toys) so I will want
to get them all to talk. IS this straight forward?
