[S.u.S.E. Linux] Netscape crashes X

Ever since installing SuSE 5.2 in May, I have been experiencing
nuisance crashes of X and even Linux that are somehow associated with
Netscape. And I get the same results using three different releases of
Netscape.

Well, now I have a theory about where the bug is and I am wondering if
anyone else has had the same experience.

Installing SuSE was the same time I developed a web site I had
to maintain daily (<A HREF="http://www.olypen.com/linux/";><A HREF="http://www.olypen.com/linux/</A">http://www.olypen.com/linux/</A</A>>) and to do that I kept
a couple of browsers launched into a separate virtual screen in
addition to my usual browser use in a single virtual screen.

So that is my theory--Netscape can't handle being mounted in multiple
virtual screens. It creates some kind of memory leak or other
instability and after a day or so the whole thing crashes, X and all.
The crash usually occurs when I close a browser. Or it can as well
happen if I exit Netscape. Or when just switching from one virtual
screen to another.

Anyone else experience this?

Dwight
