Always follow the money. I would be willing to bet that Caldera's
certification program is projected to be a direct source of revenue
for Caldera from students and not just a gamble to make Caldera Linux
more palatable to the enterprise.

Caldera probably also wants to keep its customers and VARs with this
program, who might otherwise be weaned away by Red Hat's program.
