No firewall.
I can even do the following:
# smbclient '\\localhost\ftp'
Added interface ip=192.168.100.10 bcast=192.168.100.255
nmask=255.255.255.0

Timezone is UTC+2.0
Password:
Domain=[ANAESTHESIE] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 1.9.17p2]
smb: \> ls
bin D 0 Mon Jun 29 23:26:35 1998
dev D 0 Mon Jun 29 23:26:35 1998
...
smb: \>quit
Other suggestions for this cryptic nmdb-errormessage ?
Packet send failed to 192.168.100.255(138) ERRNO=Network is unreachable
TIA,

P.S. to Michael Clarke:
Thanks for your hints on my netscape color problem with V7-Mirage card. After looking at the X11-Cards-file, I guess, I haven't installed the right Xserver (S3 instead of VGA/SVGA) for this card ...
