I went to linuxhq and got the necessary packages.  there is a libg++ rpm
that gives the error message of needing gcc 2.7.2.3 or better.  i had
2.8.1 (installed), and it didn't recognize it, even after rebooting (im
not sure if the c libs are loaded on boot).  then i got gcc 2.7.2.3, and
even after following the same steps, it gave me the error message.  what
can i do to get this rpm to install (the force option doesn't work)?
