I have installed the demo version of 5.2 on my Gateway 2300 solo with the
NeoMagic 128 chip. The also have a Infotel (DLINK OEM'd) NE2K compatible
PCMCIA NIC. The installation process was smooth including the detection of
the NIC and installation of the relevant modules. I have not configured
the sound yet.
As for a X server, Redhat has a binary only server (XBFNeomagic...)
available at their FTP site. It is really nice. If you want X I would
suggest, that you find out what graphics chip the GW2K laptops use (most
likely they are still using the NeoMagic chip).
