Re: [S.u.S.E. Linux] Hard disk led



Apparently, if you have anything that is not a hard drive or CD-ROM attached
to the secondary IDE port, this will happen. I have always had this
"problem" with my ATAPI tape drive attached to the 2nd IDE port. This
"problem" also manifested itself when I had my ATAPI Zip drive attached
there.

Strangely, though, I moved my ATAPI Zip to my computer at work and attached
it to the secondary port and that computer doesn't have this problem (it's
an HP Vectra VL). So maybe it's something related to the BIOS.

Anyway, it's just a minor annoyance as it doesn't seem to affect performance
in any way.
