I am trying to compile the examples from W. Richard Stevens' book.  During
the compilation, I got an error message saying:

ptyopen.c:5: stropts.h: No such file or directory

I find that there is no stropts.h on my machine.  Can someone tell me how
to get around this in Linux?  I know this file exists on the AIX machines
and SGI machines.  

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
