I briught up this topic on the list awhile ago. I have since learned
that deleting the ~/.netscape dir and rerunning netscape to regen all
the files solves (part) of the problem. I can now compose _new_ messages
while offline. However, attempting to _reply_ to an existing message
still causes a hang. When that happens, the following message continues
to scroll on the xterm that I launched netscape from, until I kill
Netscape:

"Warning: Select Failed; error code 9"

Does anyone have any idea what this means?
