Greetings:
        It is my intent to do some repartitioning after adding a
hard-drive and reinstall 5.1.  I have almost completely divorced myself
from any dependence on "The Evil Empire."  One of the few remaining quirks
is my inability to make oss functional and hence enjoy my investment in
one of their licenses.
        If it is possible during install, how do I ensure that i) "the
kernel is compiled with loadable module support" and ii) "the kernel must
not have sound-driver compiled in"?
        Allow me to express my sincere appreciation to this community for
any future help you may afford me.
