Perry- if you're getting past authentication you're 9/10 of the way
home! :) Type "dmesg" at a console prompt and see if the output
mentions PPP. If it doesn't, recompile your kernel to include PPP
support and don't forget to do the "make modules". Boot with the new
kernel and everything should work.
