Any help would be a appreciated.

I am trying to get my ppp connection to the net working under S.u.S.E. 5.2
fresh install. I have X up and running and am using the KDE window manager.
I was trying to config my dial up using an applet called KDPPP I think is
the name, nice config panel. Anyway, all seems to function correctly to the
point of connection and login script execution. The Login id goes in and
then the prompt for Password and it is sent. And at this point (when the
ppp handshake starts) I get a message on the debug console that says PPD
Deamon died unexpectedly and that is the end of the connection attempt. The
connection drops 30 seconds later or so later.
        Any ideas or things to look at would be greatly appreciated.
