For voodoo support, simply download the linux glide .tgz from
<A HREF="http://www.3dfx.com"><A HREF="http://www.3dfx.com</A">http://www.3dfx.com</A</A>>, and compile from the sources on the SuSE cd
Mesa-2.6 (Mesa-3.0 is not yet suitable for quake/quake2). Read the
relevant docs and you'll find the card is supported quite well in
linux. The voodoo2 does not at this time have support from 3dfx,
however there is an unsupported patch on the web at
<A HREF="http://pama.it.dtu.dk/Voodoo2/"><A HREF="http://pama.it.dtu.dk/Voodoo2/</A">http://pama.it.dtu.dk/Voodoo2/</A</A>>. I get 1/2 fps better performance in
linux GLquake, quite amazing for a game developed for another platform
and a testament to our beloved os'es superiority. Make sure you add the
line "export SST_GRXCLK=57" to your etc/profile if you're a bash user.
That is the win95 default clockspeed for the card, but in linux the
default is 50. It makes about 5 fps difference in performance.
