They buy or take and smother, more likely. The GPL *should* protect at least
the heart of Linux.

That was news to me.

I still like the idea; M$ would get something for nothing! They're giving
things away left & right to steal market share, they're starting to port stuff
(or purchase stuff) like crazy to unix, NT supports some nominal unix services
out of the box already, COM ported to unix, M$ Terminal Server, it's looking
like they're going to turn to something unix-y someday soon. (It's the only
way to sell something _really_ scalable!)
With something like MI/X that comes on the SuSE CD, think of 100% Windows
compatibility *and* your favorite X programs, plus a telnet session when you
want to get down to business... ahhh...
Oh, Bodo & SuSE team, if M$ comes knocking with cash in hand... _STALL_!!!
