[S.u.S.E. Linux] ghostscript problems

I use SuSE 5.1 distribution with KDE beta 3.
When I try to set antialiasing preference in
gv or in kghostview it answers
Unknown device: x11alpha
What is the problem here? I have a Matrox video card
and 64k colors.
