[S.u.S.E. Linux] stable kernels among 2.1.xx

Hello world,
people say that the NFS drivers has been completely
rewritten for 2.1.xx kernel. Now I'm looking for
a stable (the most stable) version of those kernels.
The requirements are very limited: I use SCSI 78xx
adapter, basic sound chip, 3c905 (3c916) network card
and a PS2 mouse. However I am primarly concerned with
the NFS speed. What would be the best bet among those
2.1.xx kernels?
