[S.u.S.E. Linux] copy files

Hi!
Is it necessary to copy with 'mcopy' from a DOS partition to a ext2
partition? When I unzip (with gzip -d) a file from de dos partition,
there's no problem. When I do the same with the file copied to the ext2
partition (with 'cp') I receive an error about the crc.
Never had that problem.
