    I don't know why but when I installed SuSE 5.1 on my machine  this
last time,   (And picked almost all to install)  Sound worked with a
simple rplayd and a module click.  Maybe it is OSS working, but I do not
think so.  I set up the cdrom player and it works wonderfully.
    The first couple times I set up I did not load "almost everything"
and these systems were severly handicapped in a lot of ways,  So if you
want to use some cool features, Insist on almost everything.....   But I
really did want to hack the kernal.  Have fun.
