Hi BB-
I cannot offer German beer but would like to offer some tips on good
american beers in the SF Bay area-
1) Sierra Nevada Pale - a nice and full pale ale. check it out
2) Golden Cate Amber Ale - try it. nice!!
3) Anchor Steam - good any old way,
4) Red Tail - nice and brewed quite well
5) A whole host of beers brewed in Napa, etc. Too many to name at
this moment.
Others available at Beverages and more. Check out beverages and more
for some great beer both seasonally and year round.
Some rather rare stuff now is Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Possibly
one of the finest beers ever made. I have a case still. This is only
brewed once a year. The Railroad amber stuff. Nice to taste.
Aanyhow, there are some good web-based beer pointers posted on alt.beer
once in awhile. Look for Ken Papai's web site on northern california
microbrerwerania.
PS - I like this discussion to. I am su'ing to my user named beer at
this moment :)
