[S.u.S.E. Linux] FTP madness!

I have been having difficulty uploading my web page...
[<A HREF="http://www.aracnet.net/~jonathan/linux.html";><A HREF="http://www.aracnet.net/~jonathan/linux.html</A">http://www.aracnet.net/~jonathan/linux.html</A</A>> if you're interested] I use
command-line FTP (like a real man) and it would send all bytes and freeze at the
end. The result was a 0 byte file! I had to mail the file to the ISP and they
put it there. I complained, they said it was my end and I insisted it was
theirs.

It happened again the other day, so I thought I would show them, rebooted to
Win95, fired up command-line FTP and...

It worked.

I refuse to be reliant on Wingdings for anything. Besides, the Internet is
Linux' playground! What's going on here? Any hints? Has anyone else had this
problem?
