Hi,
I know that there is no chance of getting the following patch into
mainline 11.2. But I would like to provide some workaround for fglrx
users in my repo. So it would be great to know, what you think about
it security wise,...? It looks to be more sane than the no-backfill
one, but still provides the huge performance gains:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/351186/comments/228
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/32728179/xserver-xorg-backclear.patch
Again, packages for factory are available at
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/dgrafenhofer/openSUSE_Factory/
Best,
Dominik

The patch itself is dangerous and not valid
