You can take a look at Red Devil's (I personally never heard of him before) review of Xfce on openSUSE 11.0:

He was very confused of all the YaST elements in the settings menu. This was something I have also criticized a few month before and I hoped that somebody will take care of it before the release.
Problems mentioned in the blogpost: a) login screen (xdm) Yes, xdm is pretty ugly by default. I'm trying to hack SLIM to integrate better with openSUSE and XFCE, but PAM support is pretty broken and there are other issues. I'm considering theming XDM but I think this would not be acceptable. b) Xfce settings menu Already reported as https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=393955 and https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=379918 c) add yast icon into main panel/menu Will try to fix soon: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=404360 -- Best Regards / S pozdravom, Pavol RUSNAK SUSE LINUX, s.r.o Package Maintainer Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xA6917144 19000 Praha 9, CR prusnak[at]suse.cz http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+help@opensuse.org
