I don't see the out date mark and it isn't very outdated I think... I started the article myself and tested it with both 11.0 and 11.1 ;-)
Well, something is marked: http://en.opensuse.org/Setting_up_VMware_on_SUSE_Linux
The older can be linked from section See Also of new article, like:
== See Also == * [[Installing_SUSE_Linux_9.1_as_a_VMware_guest]] for older versions of VMware and openSUSE * ...
That is really outdated. Why don't we delete it? It comes up as the first result if you look for "openSUSE" and "VMware" on Google. So it could be a mess for anyone who tries to install VMware following those instructions.
Now search is solved (patched) for "vmware" and "VMware" search terms to point to your article. You can see idea by typing any of terms in search.
Thanks :-)
I'm reluctant to delete anything outdated/obsolete from wiki as long as there are other means to remove it from search, like moving SDB name space, or what would be more appropriate to create name space Obsolete: and move there articles that have value for certain versions, or present document about past.
I guess that you know saying:"People without history repeat mistakes." Having document about past efforts can help sometimes.
You're right. Then we should change the wording of the "outdated" template; "If it remains outdated, it may eventually be deleted." Greetings, Javier
