This seems like a much better suggestion. I'm not sure if planetsuse should be all sites though, as the signal to noise ratio on planetsuse is pretty terrible.
Why not just have the news link on all sites [It already is], and link to planetsuse from there.
I don't see why Zonker's blog needs to be particularly prominent, if something's important enough for everyone to need to see, it should be a news.opensuse.org story. Otherwise I don't see why it's more important than anyone else's blog on planetsuse. Good point. Then I suggest moving the "openSUSE links" box up. Currently they are at the very bottom of the left nav. At least archive and categories are in my opinion less important than the links. M
