The opensuse page is superior for a beginner in that the picks the
mirror automatically.
One thing that the Ubuntu page does, is that it doesn't link to the
download directly but to to a "You're download should start shortly,
if not, click here" type page. That gives the advantage that you get a
second go at telling the downloader what to do next. ie how to burn
the iso, where to get further help etc. I myself prefer the direct iso
link, but it is probably "friendlier" to give the second page....it is
always hard to design with the novice in mind...
