Very soft.
It is obvious that our designer has much better monitor than I do.
I can hardly see the lines that should separate paragraphs, as well as the
frame. As a shape I like it.
I think your monitor is fine :) The lines are very soft.
My idea was to make a soft separation and not a hard optical break. A I think, harder line would make more "stress" to a skimmer/reader. But it would make orientation easier. Finally ... it´s a question of taste.
I make a mock-up with more present separator lines.
* may be we should have (only on the home page) a "wow effect" (may be
an animated gif/png with the fighting lizard :-)

Animation is not popular on my computer and I can remember that few people
agree :-)
I agree. Animations have more minus than plus points and should be used very carefully. But a 1st page should have something special!
I played with colors in pallete.
When I use colors on wiki page every color seems to be stronger than the in
the file colorspalette.png (old one)?
The stronger color is the right version. Was my mistake, thank you.
Will be updated with the next mock-ups :)
What about color for warnings?
We can use the orange to highlight important things. But I look for a nice red.
