Hi Martin,
Network Settings
- General Settings
-- Network Setup Method
--- Network Manager (recommended for mobile computers - laptops)
--- ifup (recommended for all others)
I can't guess what is expected to enter in
"DHCP Client Identification"
- my computer name
- host name
- something else
I would put firewall as separate tab in this group (Network Settings), instead
in some other place as it is now.
It would be good for multiple network devices in one computer to have ability
to turn device off/on like once before was possible with column Active. Check
that column will activate device, uncheck will deactivate (unload drivers
etc). This would be great help in case of problems.
Network device settings
- General Settings
-- MTU deserves some explanation considering DSL that uses smaller MTU than
1500, to help users if they experience problems.
- Address
I'm missing default gateway and DNS server(s) for Static setup.
-- Additional Addresses
What would be that? Already configured or something else.
