   An update that has two recommended fixes can now be
   installed.

Description:

   Adding 'su' option to syslogd lograte configuration to fix
   the following error message:

   "/var/log/news" has insecure permissions. It must be
   owned and be writable by root only to avoid security issues.


Patch Instructions:

   To install this openSUSE Recommended Update use YaST online_update.
   Alternatively you can run the command listed for your product:

   - openSUSE 12.1:

      zypper in -t patch openSUSE-2012-188

   - openSUSE 11.4:

      zypper in -t patch openSUSE-2012-188

   To bring your system up-to-date, use "zypper patch".
