openSUSE Recommended Update: find-utils: This update prevents updatedb to run on unknown file system types. ______________________________________________________________________________ Announcement ID: openSUSE-RU-test-2010:36753-1 Rating: low References: #591460 #601894 Affected Products: openSUSE 11.2 ______________________________________________________________________________ An update that has two recommended fixes can now be installed. Description: Find used /etc/mtab to determine the file system type and thus wrongly classified autofs entries as unknown as these are only listed in /proc/mtab in newer kernels. As updatedb didn't ignore unknown file system types it tried to run find on automounted directories. This update makes find to use /proc/mtab and updatedb to ignore directories with unknown file system type. Patch Instructions: To install this openSUSE Recommended Update use YaST online_update.
