I'm tempted to ignore the issue: if the desktop filename is the same,
then it means that you have two different versions of the same program
in two prefixes. In this case, the most recent translation wins (ie,
KDE4). Or are the KDE3 and KDE4 translations completely different?

(I guess it will mainly be an issue for KDE3 vs KDE4?)
