You have 4 slots or sides per partition - labeled A, B, C, and D. Each of these slots (except D) can contain a kernel and a command line, and to boot Linux you must have a kernel in at least one.

It is a file in /proc (/proc/iSeries/mf/{A,B,C}/vmlinux) Maybe the help text should be changed to 'Write to iSeries kernel slot'. *** Pero aún así sigo sin atreverme a traducirlo, porque sigo sin tener claro dónde escribe (¿en un archivo en una ruta -slot- concreta "A, B o C"?) ni qué escribe (¿código de arranque genérico?).
