Any similar experience on M7?
Can you see in the process list (e.a. using "top"-command) what causes the load?
I've seen it on various distros on my HP dv9000z Athlon64 X2 laptop, and it was usually caused by a Java applet running a screen crawler or other small moving object, or by a runaway browser object (such as an Adobe PDF plug-in) that lost its mind and never actually appeared. I haven't stumbled across it in M7 yet, but will give it a try to determine if M7 exhibits anything unique/different. My M7 installation is 32-bit even though I have a 64 bit laptop, so my test "matrix" is quite limited.
