Hi, for otrs I need this config: (https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=otrs&project=network%3Aotrs…) %defattr(0644,%{name},www,0775) %dir /opt/%{name}/var/article %dir /opt/%{name}/var/log %dir /opt/%{name}/var/tmp but obs is complaining: permissions-directory-setuid-bit and I should contact security(a)suse.de Here I am :) Is this acceptable ? Hi there, Linus vocally complained about this today at https://plus.google.com/u/0/102150693225130002912/posts/1vyfmNCYpi5 and I verified that running GNOME on openSUSE 12.1, all updates applied, I do need to provide the root password to change the timezone or add a printer. That is a major usability issue for personas "Daniela" and "significant other", which means it has real life impact on both Linus and myself. :-) Surprisingly enough, I did not find existing Bugzilla entries, but perhaps those were (incorrectly) closed earlier and I missed them therefore? In any case, I filed https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749451 Adding a new printer via system-config-printer requires root password https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749453 Changing the timezone via world clock requires root password Any chance we can get these two resolved quickly? Thanks! Hello all, what are the differences between the two feeds for security related updates? - *hermes feed* on https://hermes.opensuse.org/feeds/62042.rdf - *lists feed* on lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/mailinglist.rss The lists feed is now feeding the forum at http://forums.opensuse.org/english/other-forums/news-announcements/suse-sec… . We wounder if we should change to the one from hermes. I noticed two differences: 1. On the hermes feed are only openSUSE related announcements. On the lists feed are also announcements related to SUSE (SLES/SLED). 2. In the hermes feed is nearly all information included between "<description>" and "</description>". On the lists feed is only the first part of the information included and someone has to follow the link to http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/<date>/msg<number>.html to get the rest of the information especially the "Affected Products" (openSUSE 11.4, ...). The hermes feed may be better suited to give the openSUSE forums users security information because they would see only information that is related to *open*SUSE and wound not need to leave the forums to get more information (and all information/words could be found with a search in the forums). Are there any other differences between the two feeds especially any which may have a negative effect if we change on the forums to the hermes feed?
