Hi Bruno, Snort and Nagios are not comparable. Because they both have different functions. Snort is an IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and Nagios is a network monitoring system. You can check systems and ports if they are up and running. Regards, Joop. I advice to look at: http://www.snort.org/ http://www.nagios.org/ On Thu, December 8, 2005 11:26 am, Bruno Cochofel wrote:
Can someone tell me the difference between Nagios and Snort? Which one does the best job in monitoring Networks?
Thanks, Bruno
