Thanks Lenz - BDB tables are mentioned in the install notes, I cannot see InnoDB tables there though.
You need to install the MAX rpm along with MySQL 4.0.x that ships with SUSE. You should just be able to specify your table type when creating it - or use PHPMyAdmin to display runtime parameters/config. HTH, Steve
