I found a similar problem.
After having a postfix + saslauth server running for a while properly, one night some script (I still do not know which one) decided to move /var/spool/postfix/usr/sbin/saslauthd out of the chroot jail to /usr/sbin/saslauthd. After that, I configured the saslauthd to go into the jail "by hand". Three days later the problem repeated, but this time, it was concatenating the full path into the chroot jail, then I removed the "by hand" solution.
Then it worked fine for several months and a few weeks ago the same thing happened. I found nothing on the lists regarding this.

Does any one know how to stop the "/usr/sbin/saslauthd" from moving around into the filesystem periodicaly?

Regards

Ariel

Hello!

I was wondering why my saslauth did not work and the reason was my chroot (setup over SuSEconfig with /etc/sysconfig) didn't update /usr/sbin/saslauthd to /var/spool/postfix/usr/sbin/saslauthd.

Please fix that in your packages.

Before giving us a patch test it or don't give it to the public!

Philippe

P.S.: The novell webpages suck! Where have the old and fine SuSE-pages gone?
