Oh, this explains some problems we had with CVS at http://suse-linux-faq.koehntopp.de ;-) As a temporary workaround, use cvsdo add filename from the cvsutils package [1] to add files to the repositionary - or add them to CVS/Entries manually ;-) BTW: To add a file to cvs, no server connection is needed. cvs add just adds a line to CVS/Entries. cvsdo add $file does the same, but without the unneccessary server connection.
