I did it by yast, but when doing #rcpostgresql start # thereis no further respons. I installed postgresql(all) through yast piet Kevin Brannen wrote:

If you look in /etc/init.d, you'll find "postgresql". You need an S and a K symlink in the proper rc?.d dir pointing to that. You can either do that manually, or use YaST2 to set that up.
