what does "id xpto" say? if it shows him not to be in group 106, try
"nscd -i passwd; nscd -i group" or "rcnscd restart"

what does "id xpto" say? if it shows him not to be in group 106, try
"nscd -i passwd; nscd -i group" or "rcnscd restart"
