I have tried to set the http_proxy variable to "http://proxyserver:port" The http_proxy must end with a / (e.g. "http://proxy:8080/" ). I had weird effects without the / at the end.
Anybody experienved the same problem or can anybody tell me some a solution to my problem? You may want to try fou4s (http://fou4s.gaugusch.at/), an alternative to YOU with good proxy support (it uses wget, so if it works with wget, fou4s works)
