Question about updated suse kde packages

Hi list,
Recently SuSE created new packages for KDE. In the description on the site SuSE mentiones "Fixes security issues due to possible buffer overflows and missing shell quotings." What buffer overflows and what shell quotings are this? Can somebody please give some sort of reference like a CAN/CVE identifier or a CERT advisory related to these issues ?
